Yeah, I travel a lot for business too but the few seconds that we are talking about is not going to make much of a difference. It happened once again when I came home from a business trip last week - the guy in front of me switched on his phone and got up before the "fasten safety belt" sign was removed....and the FA seemed to actually be a bit fed up so she walked over to him and asked him (or rather...told him) to switch of the phone and to fasten the seat belt. It seemed to throw him off quite a bit ;-)

Hi, there is a difference between spending a casual day in the air (which I like) and travel in work (which I also like but do for 100+ days/yr). The total amount offline changes dramatically and therefor I prefer to switch on my phone as early as possible. It is not an excuse but an explanation. there is always 2 sides on a coin...

regarding luggage, never ever travel with it, but I do share your point.

Yeah, that is also a bit strange. I can understand that people want to get out of their seats after a 12 hour flight but it also happens on a short 25 minute flight from Bergen to Stavanger ;-)

And what about the fact that people don't respect the "remain seated with your seatbelt fastened" announcement...?? I just hate it when I hear all the "clicking" going on when people unfasten their seatbelts in the exact same moment as the crew starts this announcement... And also that everybody get up from their seat even before the plane has reached the gate. No one can get out before the plane has stopped anyway.... This is just some of the things that annoy me - the list is waaaay longer ;-)
