Trying to get in shape by visiting KjeragOne of the first questions I asked myself was of course how hard it would be to go trekking on Kilimanjaro. When I was walking on the mountain I have to admit that I thought it was hard but I think this was due to my cold and of course the altitude problems. But we walked pretty slowly and we had lots of chances to rest. The summit day/night was of course very challenging. First of all we stayed up all night. We also had to face slopes that got steeper and steeper and air that got thinner and thinner. I tried to walk quite a lot but I think it is important to stress that it is important to walk in varied terrain and go up and down. I walked to Preikstolen 4 times and Kjerag (2 times) during the summer. Here is a little summary of my activities from the time I decided to go.
